Second Graders learned about the many uses of the water urn in ancient Greek times.

They designed the shape and handles of their vase, cut them out and filled in desgins with oil pastel.

Later, we looked at ancient mosaics and chose colors to created a mosaic tile border.

These second graders have quite the artistic eye, let me tell ya! It was so much fun to watch them stand over the piles of paper and switch back and forth to find the colors they liked the best.
