Thrilling Third Graders~ Hamburgers!

YUM!

Third graders really wowed me with their collage interpretations of colossal hamburgers!

I love the attention to detail and the layering effects they managed to do with paper scraps.

Fabulous Fourth Graders~ Humanimals!

Holy cow, were these a blast to make!

Fourth graders spent quite a bit of time searching through magazines for just the perfect eyes, nose, and mouth belonging to either a human or an animal!

Heads and necks were simple backgrounds such as landscapes or flowers. We tried to avoid words as much as possible.

Ears and appendages were so fun to search for. Many of the kids had so many ideas they cut out they were able to make two Humanimals!

This guy below, by far, was my absolute favorite!

So many made teachers and students laugh like crazy in the hallway:)

In the end, I had the kids write a bio about their Humanimal. They could create a name and write about their age, hobbies, career etc.

This one happened to be a dentist!

Feisty Fifth Graders~ Pencil Creatures!

Finally!

Something I can do with all of those "stubbies" I've saved over the years that are too short for the pencil sharpener!

                                       The Fifth graders absolutely LOVED making these!

Such a perfect end of the year project with just some tag board a bit of hot glue and some imagination!

This year's crop of names were simply fantastic!

Each one is so unique, I love how each student approached the project in a different way.

Some reveal their hobbies and others are simply random but still so fun! 

Fantastic First Graders~ Showing Our Patriotic Side!

First graders showed their patriotism by creating an American flag inspired collage!

Fiesty Fifth Graders~ Northern Lights and Polar Bears!

Fifth graders used chalk pastels to create polar bears and the beautiful glow of the Northern Lights!

I absolutely love the facial expressions on some of these!
