The purpose of this blog is to celebrate the art my students create as well as communicate with parents about the fantastic happenings in art class at Eagle View! Be sure to check out your child's grade level link to the right to see what they are currently working on.

Third graders are learning about value! Making tints and shades of orange were perferct for fall pumpkins. We decided to spice them up with a bit of patterns and add a neutral background. Love how they look like a night sky!
Kindergarteners were read the story "The Monster in the Backpack" by Lisa Moser. They painted the fur and turned it into a collage by adding paper, pom poms and googly eyes. I love the expression! they were especially excited to figure out they too would have a monster in their backpack when it was time to take them home!
First Graders learned about the many tools that you can paint with. They were surprised at how many there were! Our night sky was created with a rubber band brush, rolling marbles and toothbrush sprays. Remember kids, now that you're experienced with that toothbrush, no toothpaste sprays on your bathroom mirror!
